I cooked the longest dish

Voila! I cooked the very first dish that I learned to cook (ofcourse I know how to cook fried eggs, this doesn't count).  I call it "Linguine pasta dressed with extra virgin olive oil in fresh basil pesto sauce with baked baby potatoes and authentic hungarian sausages sprinkled generously with parmesan cheese and oozing peppery pepper and crispy garlic bits."

Whew, I just hope the long complicated name justifies the taste.  The ingredients are all there.  So just mix mix mix! Hihihi.

Cheers!

Ten Commandments

My life, it had turned out-of-tune lately.  Before, I had fun playing music and singing all day.  Now my voice gets a little rough.  Did the wine manifest its adverse effect?  Did insufficient sleep cause this diaphragm to contract?  Or was it because I am getting old?  Well it’s never too late to vocalize, so let’s do this!

I come to an idea to set my very own 10 commandments.  These 10 commandments will serve as my guiding principles - measurable principles that I learned through experience, had great influence to my own definition of happiness.

From this day on, I promise to abide these 10 commandments:

1.  Leave the donuts at work. I pity those who bring the donuts at home. Don’t you find that special sweetness at home, not just at work?
2.  Do not ever flip the calendar backwards. Don’t focus on the past, just move forward.
3. Never fry two eggs all at once, or else you’ll get a scramble. Do it one step at a time. Take it easy.
4. Kiss that mama goodbye. If not in a hurry, give her XOXO. Show your family more love.
5. Feeling invisible is not bad as you might think about it. Invisibility tops the choice of supernatural powers. Be real, live with passion, and get lost in the trend.  It doesn’t make you less as a person when your shoes are not branded.
7. Life has so many questions. Do not limit yourself to ask for more.
8. Go for a no-diet weight loss approach called “Lifestyle change”.
9. Begin the day with a goal to be peaceful. Leave the day with an accomplished task, from a very simple changing your bed sheets, to a more complex like learning a new piece of music. Wouldn’t it be nice to sleep with fresh pillows and with good music putting you to a lullaby?
10. Connect with friends. A simple hi hello everyday will do.

So help me God.

Cheers!

More fun in the Philippines!

The other week I spent a long vacation in the islands of Coron Palawan. I am with some friends, and friends of friends for that matter. Of course they’re now my friends too.

With all the fun shots we had on that beautiful island, I’d come to an idea to participate to DOT’s campaign and create my own “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” meme. In this own little way, I can help promote our local tourism. I hope.

Philippines is an archipelago - composed of chains of islands surrounded by water. Primarily, the marine resources are our source of livelihood. We can boast for the variety of sea creatures we have and that what makes it more fun living here!

My friend, I don’t want to burst your bubble. It exploded already I know with the conversation we had on facebook, that was scary. But, these shots make me smile! And I know everybody does.

The gorgeous ladies make it more fun living here. Beautiful country + beautiful people = perfection!

All beautiful things are never perfect. I shouldn’t have used the term perfection in the first place. But these 2 photos proves them all wrong.

So there's a perfection after all. Yes, she's on top of that pyramid. Lol.

Ofcourse, a beach outing wouldn't be complete without attempting for a perfect jump shots!

More photos of the trip, for your viewing pleasure:

In case your curious about our travel budget, we availed of Leidy's Coron Tour package. For a group of 12 persons, we only get to pay Php 5,800 each for a 4 days trip. All worth it! I highly recommend this. The travel guide are all hospitable, they made our stay more joyful! And I want to sleep on that shower room.

Before I finish off I just want to share you this. I saw 4 falling stars that night when we went on star gazing by the bay. I had wished for peace, more travel and friends. God already blessed me these; I just wished for it again as to remind Him that I don't want to lose them!

The other one, I totally forgot. But, I think I wished for the rain.

Cheers!

Palanggana

Yesterday, I started my day with a smile, smiling at my mother welcoming me on a new day.

Mama:  You look bloated. Your face beginning to look like palanggana (basin)
Me:   T__T

So I went to the office a little frustrated. At some point, I began thinking what happened the other night. And this what happened:

While I am on my way home, in the jeepney; I hand over my pamasahe to this man sitting beside me. He courteously gave the pamasahe to the driver and returned the change to me.

There’s nothing unusual about this, but there is about the man. His nose, it almost occupy the entire population of his face!  I smiled alone losing sanity remembering this. I am glad my face is just a palanggana while this man is turning into an elephant.

Forgive me. I don’t intend to hurt somebody’s feelings. I just need a good laugh. Peace!

I know this is not a good joke either.

Cheers!

My First Violin Recital

I just bought myself a new violin! After a week I was able to play this:

Well, for sure you notice all the lightings, the decorative gas lamps I lighted them all for a romantic feel. You know it’s been a dream of mine to play music in a fine dining restau in front of all the lovers dating. Yihii. And I intend to make the video presentable, to cover up my face and to draw your attention away from the squeaky sound. Forgive me for that I am just a beginner. It's still a long way to go.

Cheers!
